About the Chef: Fabrizio

Executive Chef Fabrizio brings a rich culinary heritage and a passion for community-driven cuisine to Copperhouse. Originally from Mexico, Fabrizio holds a Bachelor's degree in Gastronomy from Universidad del Caribe in Cancún. His career has taken him through the kitchens of renowned hotels such as Dreams Sands Cancún, Marriott Cancún Resort, and JW Marriott Cancún, where he honed his craft in Italian, French, Argentinian, Spanish, and Polynesian cuisines.

Each of these experiences deepened his appreciation for the traditions and techniques of global gastronomy, knowledge he now brings to every dish with a spirit of innovation and respect for cultural roots.

In pursuit of new opportunities and a better life for his wife and children, Fabrizio moved to Yellowknife, Canada. From the moment he arrived, the tight-knit community reminded him of his hometown. Meeting Copperhouse founders Mark and Paul, and learning that the restaurant was "a gift to the community" resonated deeply with him. Over time, Fabrizio embraced this vision, understanding that Copperhouse stands for passion, gratitude, empathy, respect, and culture, values that align perfectly with his own.
