Copperhouse - Yellowknife
94 - Château le Loup Saint-Émilion Grand Cru - Bordeaux, France
88
Grape Varietals: 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc
Wine Description: Château Le Loup lies on the northern slopes of Saint-Émilion, where approximately 40-year-old vines grow in classic clay-limestone soils. The wine is matured for 12–14 months in French oak, creating a polished Right Bank Bordeaux with generous fruit, structure and excellent aging potential.
Flavour Profile: Aromas of ripe cassis, black plum and dark cherry are layered with black pepper, warm spice and subtle chocolate. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with fleshy fruit and firm yet refined tannins. A mineral edge adds freshness, leading to a persistent, structured finish.
Suggested Food Pairings: Excellent with filet steak, rack of lamb, beef bourguignon or roasted pork.
